Tonsillitis wont go away?

about 7 months ago i got tonsillitis and since then it just wont go away!...a few days after finishing my anit bitoics the tonsillitis comes back, i was even on them for 3 months at one point and a week after coming of them all my symptoms came back..my doctor did a ct scan and found i had sinus disease she said the infection was dripping down in to my throat casuing tonsillitis but 2 weeks ago i had surgery to remove the sinus disease and a few days after i got a really bad case of tonsillitis, iv been off the anti bitoics for 3 days now and today iv woken up with painfull swollen lymph nodes, red face, awful taste in mouth and my tonils are starting to get white patches again so im 90 % sure iv got tonsillitis again!..this is getting beyond a joke now its really affecting my life iv had to give up college and i dont have a social life because im constantly ill is there anything else i can do because obviously the anti biotics arnt working?
