What is the sweetest and smoothest wine you've ever had?

I am not a wine drinker. But I like the idea of being able to have a gl of red wine with my dinner here and there. So, you may say that I am just a beginner in the wine drinking field. I have tried a few brands of expensive wines, but they tasted a little too...tannin, tart and sour aftertaste. I can only drink something that is mostly sweet and smooth, but yet, with a taste of "wine", and not like a soda pop. Man, I don't even know if I am describing this correctly. But hopefully, one of you can catch what I want and give me a few suggestion. Thank you so much!
